Effective date: 11 August 2026
RevLog ("the app") is a motorcycle maintenance tracking app, operated by Hard Deck Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company no. 17371224. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how it's protected.
Account information. When you create a RevLog account, we collect the email address and password you sign up with. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google); we never see or store your password directly.
Maintenance data you enter. RevLog stores the information you add to the app in order to provide its core functionality: bike details (make, model, registration, VIN, mileage), mileage and hours history, parts and fluids records, service log entries, and admin items (such as MOT or insurance renewal dates). Based on this activity, the app also computes and stores achievements you've earned. This data is stored in Firebase Firestore and is only accessible to your account.
Photos. If you attach a photo to a part or a receipt to a service log entry, that image is uploaded to Firebase Storage and linked to your account. Photos are only accessible to your account.
Push notifications. If you enable notifications, RevLog registers your device for push notifications through Expo's push notification service and stores the resulting device token against your account, so we can send reminders for things like overdue services or upcoming renewals. We also record the date you last opened the app, so we can prompt you if you've been away for a while. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings.
Crash reports and app diagnostics. RevLog uses Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash logs and error reports if the app fails unexpectedly, so we can find and fix problems. These reports are tagged with your account so we can investigate an issue you report to us, and may include device information such as model and OS version.
We don't collect anything beyond what's needed to run the app and the account features described above — no location tracking, no contacts access, no browsing history.
RevLog is a free, ad-supported app. Ads are served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect information such as device identifiers and app usage data in order to serve and measure ads, and may use this data in line with Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Where required, you'll be asked for consent to personalized advertising, and can adjust ad personalization through your device's ad settings.
All data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure via Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Storage), encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your maintenance data and photos is scoped to your account only, enforced by server-side security rules — no other user of the app can read or write your data.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). This immediately and permanently removes your bikes, parts and fluids records, service log entries, admin items, uploaded photos and receipts, and the account itself — this can't be undone. If you'd rather we do this for you, or can't access the app, contact us at the email address below and we'll delete it on your behalf.
RevLog relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
RevLog is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
